Training Youths and School Children on Human Rights (Third Group)

Future Generation Hands Association has held a training course for the third group of the project of "Training Youths and School Children on Human Rights", financed and supported by Welfare Association and Austrian Development Agency with the participation of 15 students from An-Najah National University-Faculty of Law.
This training course aimed to raise and enhance the level of awareness of the culture and concepts of human rights and democracy among Palestinian youths.
The course began with welcoming the participants by Future Generation Hands Association's management, a talk was conducted about the activities of the FGHA and the social role it plays to provide benefit to all different segments of community members, children, youths, and women.
Then, personal contacts and barriers breaking took a place among participants to introduce them to each others.
Variety and comprehensive topics were discussed on human rights and democratic practices and drop on current situation, course lasted for a period of 4 days, within 30 hours of intensive training.

Future Generation Hands Association continue its program (Palestinian Palestinian meetings by held the third meeting with the participation of 8 participants from FGHA -Nablus and 8 from Oasis of Peace - Jerusalem
This meeting was held on 25-26 july 2010. under the guidance of the supervisors from two institutions the participants introduced themselves in terms of personal, social and political and variety dialogues and discussions took place among participants About political, social and outstanding territorial issues.
The Palestinian participants from Jerusalem expressed their desire and eagerness to get to know their colleagues from An Najah National University in Nablus and expressed their intention to identify the city and its people through direct dialogue and they hoped to increase their knowledge about their culture ,national identity and feature their rich home
The general manager of Future Generation Hands Association Mr.majed Tubaileh confirmed that FGHA is working with all its capabilities to refine the capabilities of our youth in various fields In order to motivate them to take responsibility in the current circumstances and future.

Within the Training Youths and School Children on Human Rights project Future Generation Hands Association has conducted a training course for the second group with the participation of 20 students and graduates from An-Najah National University from different disciplines . This course aims as part of an integrated project to raise awareness of the culture and concepts of human rights and democracy among Palestinian youths , the Participant will acquired a lot of information , skills , new and varied experiences within 30 hour training.
Mr. Abdallah Abu Kishk -Programs Manager at Welfare Association visited the group and he has expressed his admiration of the participants commitment , then the discussions took place between Mr. Abdallah and the participants about the importance of such a project and what benefits they receive from their participation. Where he listened to them and to their suggestions to increase interest in supporting such programs, especially in the Northern areas which has a clear impact to increase the awareness of students and develop their skills and abilities in important fields such as human rights ,not only in the theoretical side, but also in practice side

Future Generation Hands Association summer camp

Future Generation Hands Association initiated the annual summer camp for children (the smile and Joy sixth camp) at Families' Park (Montazah Al-Aelat) in Nablus. The camp joins 100 children aged 8-14 and lasts for ten days.
The camp includes studied cultural, artistic and physical activities that aim at developing the personalities of the participating children it will include also many of Creative Arts ,Crafts, Interactive games and activities which is useful for children As well as intelligence Games Which will enter into the camp activities for the first time In addition to the Lecture on the Rights of the Child which aimed to raise children's awareness about their rights . at the end of the Camp 20 children will be selected To be trained In the field of children's rights Where the FGHA shall endeavor to create a specialized unit in the field of children's rights.
in addition to the two entertainment trips one of them to the old city in Nablus and the second to ART park and swimming pool and at the end of the camp will organize a festival .
11 of the association's volunteers opened the camp after they took a number of different training courses to develop their skills in order to carry out their duty towards the children, The groups have been established and the children were distributed on them. Future Generation’s Hands Association –Nablus branch has opened its first activities of the project of "Training Youths and School Children on Human Rights '' supported by Welfare Association and Austrian Development Agency .
The project includes several activities that will raise awareness of the culture and concepts of human rights and democracy among Palestinian youths , The main activities of the project include training courses in the field of human rights, democracy and the rule of law, the Participant will acquired a lot of information , skills , new and varied experiences within 30 hour training would qualify himher to participate in the second phase of the project where they will organize and lead meetings, seminars and workshops with different sectors of society, in schools,in organizations that work with children ,women and youth In addition to signature campaign for 2000 signatures in advocacy for human rights, Producing short TV
tapes and posters
As a result of the acquired knowledge and experience due to participation in the project, participants are expected to be able to :-
- Good knowledge of the concept of human rights its origins and historical evolution , Divine law and human rights, International treaties and conventions intended to protect human rights, including Universal Declaration of Human Rights , International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and The International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights .
- Good knowledge of the concept of democracy and its history, its forms , the relationship between democracy and human rights ,and obstacles to create democratic society and how people exercised .
-Good knowledge of the principle of the rule of law its concept ,its pillars and its impact on the human rights situation in Palestine .
- Increase the ability to understand and analysis of Laws Protecting Human Rights .
-Increase the ability to organize and lead meetings, seminars and workshops In the field of human rights
- Personal development , self improvement and development of spirit of team at work.
The training course stared with the participation of 23 students and graduates from An-Najah National University from different disciplines , most of them were Students from the Faculty of Law.
It is began with a welcome speech by the Director of Future Generation Hands Association Mr. Majed Tubeileh , Where he talked about the role of FGHA and its services in various areas and for different categories, and he further emphasized the importance of this program as a first experience of the Association in the field of human rights and a pioneering gesture to promote and to raise awareness of the culture and concepts of human rights and democracy among Palestinian youth ,Especially in the Northern areas . the participants were selected in different regions such as Jenin, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Selfit, Bedya …and other this project aims to enhance the awareness of students coming from these areas to help them gain the skills which they will use to track and record Zionism violations against the Palestinian people in various Palestinian areas adjacent to the Apartheid Wall and the Israeli Settlers attacks on our land, our farms where we believe that greater awareness in this field is very important as a form of the struggle of the Palestinian people. Through training and provide them with training skill to take advantage of affect the public on human rights by targeting grassroots organizations in various Palestinian cities. The trained participants will organize and lead meetings, seminars and workshops with different sectors
Then He ended his speech by thanking the Welfare Association and Austrian Development Agency for funding the project represented by Mr. Abdulla Abu Kishk who expressed his delight of the youth interaction with this program what seemed clear Since the announcement of the beginning of program .

Future Generation Hands Association and within its general strategy for 2010 conducted a training course in Nablus City , under the title of "Preparing a Funding Proposal'' by using Logical Framework Approach with the attendance of FGHA technical crew and some friends who are interested in this subject.
The purpose of this course is to encourage participants to writing projects during identify the laws and the methods used in writing projects
the course included a variety of topics related to communication skills with donors and Preparing a funding proposal such as the process of writing proposals and writing proposals persuasively.
Participants interacted with the themes raised by the trainer during the course , they were divided into groups to promote the spirit of teamwork and share their ideas among themselves , Severa discussions took place this has led to an increased benefits.

Children Festivals

Future Generation Hands Association and within a series of its events and activities for children initiated the first festival of children's ages 7-12 in its headquarters in Nablus city.
the children festival was attended by 48 children from all groups that had participated in the "Alleviating the Psychological Pressure on Children" workshops as a kind of communicating and interacting with the previous groups of Alleviating the psychological pressure program since its inception in 2007.
the festival has included several activities , games, toys and gifts for children which has led to entered the joy and happiness to their hearts and that seemed clear on their faces and their interaction with the festival activities

Within the Palestinian-Palestinian Communication Future Generation Hands Association in Nablus starts its activities for 2010 by held the Palestinian Palestinian Meeting. The meeting started with the welcome-speech of Mr. Majed Tubelieh general manager of FGHA he welcomed the guests and emphasized that the Future Generation Hands Association working hard with all the possibilities available to develop the communication between Palestinian either at home or the diaspora at the level of youth, women and children.
This meeting comes in the midst of the suffering of the Palestinian people from a Settlement risk and Judaize Jerusalem and other Palestinian cities in addition to the Israeli refusal to recognize the right of the Palestinian people .In spite of these problems and difficulties but our adherence to life and the land is a powerful motive to live . From this perspective, we call for national unity and end Palestinian split which is the correct way to meet the challenges facing the Palestinian people wherever they are .
